The Royal College of Nursing spirituality survey: challenges and opportunities for nursing Professor Wilf McSherry designed and ran the only nursing survey of this kind under the auspices of the RCN. While not specific to mental health its findings are of much interest in mental health as much as others areas of nursing care. NB. Faith in Independent Advocacy Independent Mental Capacity Advocate and King’s College doctoral student Geoff Morgan presents his research findings on the Spiritual Dimension of Advocacy.  He focuses on the voices of advocates, advocacy clients and spiritual care coordinators. His project charts the rise and influence of independent advocacy in health and social care, highlighting the stated need to take account of spiritual and cultural factors and looking at the culture and profession of the advocate.
